ESPN: LLWS star Mo’ne Davis eyes women’s pro baseball league spot

Mo’ne Davis is stepping back onto the diamond.

The former Little League World Series phenom, now 24, will be among more than 600 players trying out for the Women’s Professional Baseball League in Washington, D.C., Aug. 22–25. Davis, who made history at 13 with a shutout on the world stage, joins fellow trailblazer Kelsie Whitmore at the historic event. The WPBL, set to debut in 2026, will mark the first U.S. women’s pro league since 1954.
