The WPBL tryouts will take place from August 22-25, 2025 in Washington, D.C. Tryouts will be held at the Washington Nationals Youth Academy from August 22-24. The final evaluation will occur at Nationals Park on August 25. WPBL scouts and executive leadership will be present throughout the tryouts to evaluate athletes.
Fremantle, the WPBL’s media partner, will be present to film the tryouts for a forthcoming docusieries about the league.
Eligibility: All players who have previously registered for the tryouts are eligible to participate. Players who have not previously registered but are interested in attending tryouts may contact us about registration opportunities. Tryout Format:
Day 1, August 22: Initial player evaluations.
Day 2, August 23: Strong performers from Day 1 will be invited back for additional evaluation.
Day 3, August 24: Strongest players from this day will be invited to Nationals Park.
Day 4, August 25: Top performers will play games at Nationals Park for final evaluation.
Top players from the tryout will be entered into the WPBL Draft pool. Up to 150 players will be eligible to be drafted. The Draft will take place in October, 2025.
International Players: International players who are unable to attend the tryouts in person are asked to submit videos for evaluation at the link below. Oversees tryouts may be announced at a later date if the league deems them necessary.
