WOMEN’S PRO BASEBALL LEAGUE NAMES NEW ERA CAP OFFICIAL ON-FIELD HEADWEAR PARTNER

JULY 7, BOSTON — The Women’s Pro Baseball League (WPBL) today announced New Era as the Official Cap of the WPBL. This partnership brings the world’s premier headwear brand to the diamond for the League’s historic inaugural season set to start August 1st at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois.

As the Official Cap of the WPBL, New Era will exclusively outfit all WPBL players, coaches, and on-field staff with official game caps throughout the inaugural season. The partnership also includes fan merchandise, integrated marketing initiatives, and promotional programs that connect fans with the League and its four inaugural teams. The WPBL’s new partnership with New Era embeds the brand into the fan experience on the field and across digital platforms.

The first collection of official WPBL New Era caps will launch alongside the League’s team identity reveal, featuring the same on-field designs worn by players, available in a variety of styles. Fans can shop the collection at womensprobaseballleague.com/shop or purchase caps at Robin Roberts Stadium throughout the inaugural season. Additional cap drops will follow during the season.

Marking a new generation in professional women’s sports, the WPBL’s opening weekend is set for a blockbuster debut on Saturday, August 1st, at 5:00 p.m. CT when Team USA’s powerhouse duo, Denae Benites and Kylee Lahners, of New York take on a star-studded Los Angeles lineup featuring center fielder women’s baseball superstar Mo’ne Davis, USA Baseball National Women’s Team and Banana Ball star Ashton Lansdell, and Japanese legend Ayami Sato. 

In the opening weekend’s second game on Sunday, August 2nd, at 6:30 p.m. CT the WPBL’s No. 1 overall pick Kelsie Whitmore of San Francisco will battle Boston’s international sensations including Korean pitcher Hyeonah Kim and Canadian National Team star Alli Schroder.
