The San Francisco Firebells are currently at the top of the heap in the standings, but the race remains tight with just one week of regular season competition left.
There are plenty of stories to follow in the player head-to-head as well, with New York Heights catcher Denae Benites and San Francisco Firebells in an ongoing race for long ball supremacy. Lurking close behind are Queens’ teammates Jamie Mackay with five and Ashton Lansdell trailing at three.
The historic surge in the league’s first year features two clear frontrunners for the coveted Triple Crown. Benites leads the league in batting and RBIs, .658/25, followed by fellow captain Kelsie Whitmore whose .550/21 numbers are a little too close for comfort.
